DeKalb selects two interns from NIU

DeKALB – The city of DeKalb selected two management interns from Northern Illinois University’s Master of Public Administration program.

Katlyn Payne will intern with the city for at least the next two years. Payne started at NIU in June, after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University in May. She will play on NIU’s women’s basketball team while earning her master’s degree and a law degree.

Pandicha “Best” Limsakun came to the United States after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from Thammasat University in Thailand. Limsakun spent more than a year studying English and another four months studying for the graduate school admissions test. After graduation, she plans to return to Thailand.
