SYCAMORE – DeKalb County is offering online voter registration in four languages.

Registration can be completed online at elections.il.gov, by selecting the Online Voter Registration in the Spotlight area of the page. The system is available in English, Spanish, Chinese and Hindi.

To register online, an Illinois driver’s license, or state ID card are needed, along with the last four digits of one’s social security number. An email will be sent to the applicant to confirm receipt of the application. Within 48 hours of receiving an application, the system will send an email informing the applicant whether the information submitted matches the Secretary of State’s database.

If no email is provided, an applicant can check registration status by choosing the tab in the Spotlight area of the homepages at the elections website. The online system will forward the application to the DeKalb County clerk.
