Human rights group sets meeting

The Northwestern Regional Human Rights Authority of the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Kishwaukee Hospital, 1 Kish Drive, Room CC2, DeKalb.

Complaints regarding alleged violations of the rights of persons with disabilities by public and private providers will be received.

The Human Rights Authority is a panel of volunteers empowered by statue to investigate alleged violations in the nine northwestern counties of Illinois. Concerned citizens can report any rights violations at the meeting or call the coordinator at the regional office in Rockford at 815-987-7657.
