2 hospitalized in crash near Kingston

KINGSTON – Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash that ended in a driving under the influence arrest Friday near Kingston.

At 9:27 p.m. Friday, DeKalb County deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Glidden Road south of Wolf Road. Anthony D. Clark, 49, of the 300 block of Charles Street in Cortland, was going south on Glidden Road when he crossed the center line and side-swiped a north bound vehicle. After investigation, Clark was arrested for DUI.

The other vehicle, driven by Guillermo Mares, 40, of Hanover Park, had three passengers. Two of the passengers, Filomeno Mares, 66, and Sabina Lopez, 62, both of Hanover Park, were taken to OSF St. Anthony Hospital for injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Clark was taken to DeKalb County Jail and is awaiting bond. He was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
