Northern Illinois women’s tennis coach Ryun Ferrell is leaving the program to pursue other opportunities, the school announced Thursday.

NIU will start a national search for Ferrell’s successor immediately.

Ferrell was the Huskies’ coach for the past eight seasons. The team went 14-10 in 2013. The win total was NIU’s highest since 2003.
