Local Marmion students compete in Italian exam

Two local students placed in the National Italian Examination Contest for Marmion Academy. The students competed against more than 105 high schools from 20 states and Puerto Rico.

Sophomore Dave Carrano of Maple Park placed third in the United States at Level 3 and won a prize of $150. Junior Jacob Ebert of Sycamore placed fourth in Level 1 and won a prize of $100.

Marmion Academy, a Catholic-Benedictine college preparatory high school for young men, is located in Aurora.
