KINGSTON – A complaint of an underage drinking party early Saturday near Kingston led to four 18-year-olds being charged with underage drinking, authorities said.

DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies arrived about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a home on the 34000 block of Glidden Road north of Kingston after receiving a complaint of an underage drinking party. An area resident called police to report seeing several children, some seemingly intoxicated, running in the area, said Gary Dumdie, DeKalb County Sheriff's chief deputy.

Charged with underage drinking were 18-year-olds: Blake A. Munro, of the 9300 block of Eric Circle, Kingston; Ezequil Hernandez, of the 300 block of East First Street, Kingston; Justice W. Graf, of the 300 block of South Main Street, Kingston; and Gabriel Lerma, of the 700 block of Tyler Street, Genoa.

Seven juveniles were sent home to their parents and referred to juvenile court, where the state's attorney will decide whether they will face charges based on prior incidents.

It is unknown where the minors received the alcohol. Parents hosting any underage drinking party could be held liable and face penalties, Dumdie said.
