Rotary drive helps restock food pantries

The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club recently conducted a food drive to benefit DeKalb and Sycamore food pantries.

The following businesses participated as collection sites: American Midwest Bank, Sycamore; Becky Beck’s Jewelry Store, DeKalb; Dr. Dan, DeKalb; Foster & Buick, Sycamore; Lincoln Inn Family Restaurant, DeKalb; Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists, DeKalb; State Farm, Scott Ziemet, DeKalb; and T. Allen and Associates, Sycamore.

Joel Maurer, co-director of the Sycamore Food Pantry at the Sycamore United Methodist Church, thanked club members for their efforts to re-stock the shelves of the local food pantries and said the pantries are always in need of donations.

The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club meets at 7 a.m. every Tuesday at the Kishwaukee Hospital Roberts Center.
