The Somonauk Summerfest Committee is seeking vendors for its annual craft fair, which will be held from 5 p.m. to dusk July 25, and 11 a.m. to dusk July 26. The craft fair will be located at Somonauk’s Community Park on South Gage Street.
The organizers welcome crafters, flea marketers and antique dealers to sell their wares at the event that has been gaining in size and popularity over the years. The fee to participate ranges from $15 to $45 depending on the size of space and number of days of participation. Those interested in being a vendor should contact Susan Zarbock at 815-498-3974. The deadline to register is July 19.
Aside from the craft show, Summerfest will have a wide variety of entertainment at the family-friendly festival. The weekend will include a cruise night, vintage baseball game, food vendors, Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, Bean Bag Toss Competition, truck pulls, kids play zone, beer tent and live music throughout the weekend.
There also will be several health displays during the fest including a booth from KishHealth System and eye screenings from Somonauk Lions Club. The Pink Heels will have a pink fire truck on display and will be selling T-shirts to benefit breast cancer research.
There also are several sponsorship opportunities available. For more information about Summerfest, call Somonauk Village Hall at 815-498-3500 or visit www.somonauksummerfest.com.
