Neighborhood farmers market starting in DeKalb

DeKALB - DeKalb County Community Gardens is partnering with the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for a neighborhood farmer's market later this month.

The Thrive neighborhood market and community garden will sponsor a monthly fresh vegetable neighborhood market the last Saturday of each month starting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 28 in the church's parking lot, 900 Normal Road, DeKalb.

The monthly farmer markets will provide organically grown vegetables at a pay-what-you-can price, according to a news release. The markets will feature live music, children's activities and nutrition information.

Residents are encouraged to bring their own vegetables. The event will also be held July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 27.
