Electronics recycling at St. Mary DeKalb

Published: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 5:30 a.m. CST

St. Mary School in DeKalb will host an electronics recycling fundraiser from 8 to 11 a.m. June 18.

Residents can drop off their unused, unwanted and broken electronics. They will ship them off to be recycled and kept out of landfills. St. Mary School will be paid based on the weight of all the electronics collected.

Almost everything from computer towers and video games to microwaves and other small appliances can be recycled. Basically, anything with a cord or batteries, including the cord and batteries can be dropped off. The only exception is large CRT monitors or tube TVs – they will not be accepted.

Items can be dropped off at St. Mary School, 210 Gurler Road, DeKalb, in the circle drive.
