Cortland firefighters start ‘Fill the Boot’ fundraiser

CORTLAND – The Cortland Fire Department will kick off its Fill the Boot fundraiser Friday for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Fire department members will be collecting money from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 13 and June 20 at the intersection of Barber Greene and Somonauk roads. The money raised will help support the MDA's programs for research, specialized health care services and day-to-day support, including sending children with muscular dystrophy and related diseases to a weeklong summer camp.
