Three share NI Big 12 East girls soccer MVP

Girls soccer players from DeKalb, Kaneland and Sycamore shared MVP honors in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference’s East Division, conference officials announced Monday.

DeKalb’s Maddie Frye, Kaneland’s Delaney Stryczek, and Sycamore midfielder Katherine Kohler, all seniors, finished in a three-way tie as the division’s top player. Other members of the NI Big 12 East’s all-conference team included, from DeKalb:

• Morgan Beaty, senior

• Maddie Krmenec, senior

• Ayslin Nachman, senior

From Sycamore:

• Jenee Carlson, junior

• Emily Cook, senior

• Paige Kohler, senior

• Drew Moulton, junior

• Alyssa Hemmerich, junior

From Kaneland:

• Taylor Zitkus, freshman

• Courtney Diddell, junior

• Emily Chapman, sophomore

• Brittany Olson, senior

• Madison Jurcenko, junior

Included among the honorable mention players were DeKalb junior Kate Hickey, Sycamore junior Alexis Devita, and Kaneland freshman Holly Collingbourne.
