Children’s Community Theatre is accepting registrations for it’s Beginner’s Imagination Camp, which has the theme of “Circus, Circus!” this year and will run from June 9 through 20.

Campers will be involved in creating a script for their group while taking part in daily sessions including acting, music, art, dance, theater games and costume creation.

Beginner’s Imagination Camp is open to students entering first through sixth grade in the fall. Camp sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon each day culminating in one public performance of “Circus, Circus!” on June 20. Cost of the two-week camp is $115.

CCT also is accepting registrations for its Advanced Imagination Camp featuring a production of the musical “Footloose.”

Advanced Camp is open to students entering seventh through 12th grade in the fall.  Those graduating this spring also can enroll in the camp.

The camp runs for two weeks, June 16 through 29, and will conclude with three public performances of “Footloose.” A full, per-day schedule can be found on CCT’s website.

Cost of the two-week Advanced Camp is $140 and includes daily instruction, a cast T-shirt, participation in three public performances and dinner during the dress rehearsal.

Daily camp sessions for both camps are held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 26555 Brickville Road in Sycamore, with all performances being staged at Sycamore High School.
