Malta Days Festival begins Friday

Get ready for “a hometown festival in your own backyard,” during the Malta Days Festival, held Friday through Sunday just five miles west of DeKalb on Route 38 in downtown Malta. Highlights include the ninth car show, 5K run/walk and Miller’s Petting Zoo on Saturday and free stage entertainment all weekend. The festival will include a carnival, food booths, beer garden and crafters/business booths. The Brian Lavender Band will perform from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
