DeKALB – Students of an alternative high school in DeKalb will hold a fundraiser Saturday for a nonprofit skateboarding organization.

Students at Ombudsman DeKalb will host a bake sale, raffle, information table and ollie contest fundraiser for Skateistan from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Small Town Skate Shop, 229 E. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb.

The students, who have dropped out or are at risk for dropping out of school, will raise funds for Skateistan, a nonprofit that connects youth and education through skateboarding in Afghanistan and Cambodia, according to a news release.
