The DeKalb boys track team won the Class 3A Huntley Regional on Friday night in Huntley.
The Barbs finished with 75 points, two ahead of second-place Huntley.
DeKalb's 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays each won titles. The 4x100 had a time of 41.9 while the 4x200 finished in 1:27.87.
Other state qualifiers for the Barbs were Adam Wilson, who took second in the triple jump at 48-2; Misha Ryzhov, who took second in the 3,200 at 9:23.36; and Drew Paszotta, who was second in the 200 at 22.22.
H'BR's McNanna qualifies for state: Hinckley-Big Rock sophomore Zach McNanna had a mark of 5-8 in the high jump in the Class 1A Seneca Sectional. McNanna took third, but the mark surpassed the IHSA's qualifying standards, and McNanna earned a trip to next weekend's state meet.
The Royals took ninth as a team with 20.5 points.
Sycamore 14, Sandwich 7: Mark Skelley, Michael Swanberg, Nate Haacker, Alec Kozak and Ian Kidd all had two hits for the Spartans in a win. Kidd finished with four RBIs.
Cam Godinskiy was the winning pitcher on senior night, throwing 2 2/3 innings.
"It was really nice to get back into the win column," Sycamore coach Jason Cavanaugh said. "We've struggled the past couple of weeks. Hopefully, we can use this as momentum going forward."
Aurora Central Catholic 6, Kaneland 0: Nate Hopkins went 1 for 3 with a walk for Kaneland (15-15).
