Dallas Cowboys sign Ken Bishop to contract

Published: Tuesday, May 20, 2014 9:59 p.m. CDT

The Dallas Cowboys signed NT Ken Bishop to a four-contract Tuesday.

The Cowboys selected the former Northern Illinois with the 36th pick of the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft earlier this month.

Bishop, listed at 6 feet, 301 pounds on the NFL’s website, was the 251st overall selection. NFL.com listed Bishop as a most-likely priority free agent. He’ll join former NIU offensive tackle Doug Free in Dallas.

Bishop, who spent two seasons at NIU as a junior-college transfer, was a first-team All-Mid-American Conference selection in 2013. He finished fourth on the Huskies with 70 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also picked off two passes.
