DeKALB – Authorities are searching for two men charged in a May 1 home invasion after three others implicated in the crime are behind bars.

DeKalb police this week identified Tyrell J. Payne, 21, of the 1400 block of East 66th Place in Chicago, and Devion D. Guy, 25, of the 7100 block of South Rhodes Avenue in Chicago, as the gunmen. The two went into an apartment in the 900 block of West Hillcrest Street in DeKalb while three other men stood lookout, Lt. Bob Redel said.

Once inside, they robbed an occupant of the apartment of an ounce of marijuana at gunpoint.

The three alleged lookouts were charged last week with home invasion. They are Darrell R. Rhyme, 18, of the 7000 block of South Harper Avenue in Chicago; Deontay L. Page, 20, of the 6200 block of South Vernon Avenue in Chicago, and Perry A. Cleaves, 19, of the 6500 block of South Greenwood Avenue, Chicago.

Page and Cleaves were arrested in Cook County, while Guy was in Cook County Jail on unrelated charges. Rhyme has made arrangements to turn himself in and police are searching for Payne, Redel said.
