DeKalb athletes give college commitments

DeKalb girls soccer player Maddie Frye committed to Benedictine University during a ceremony at DeKalb High School on Tuesday, while Alexis Hammod committed to play volleyball at Aurora University.

Hammond was a Daily Chronicle honorable mention all-area selection in the fall. Frye was a first-team all-area selection last year.
