Information sought on hit-and-run

DeKALB – Crime Stoppers is looking for information about a hit-and-run in which three new cars were totaled at a car dealership.

The incident occurred during the morning hours Sunday at the DeKalb Chevrolet, 1925 Mercantile Drive, Sycamore.

Authorities believe a 2000 to 2003 model Ford F250 or Ford F350 jumped the curb and crashed into three new cars, according to a Crime Stoppers news release.

The offending vehicle should have heavy front-end damage, the release states.

Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1,000 for anonymous tips. Those with information about the incident are asked to contact DeKalb County Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or email crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org.
