Golec takes part in cultural immersion training

Alicja M. Golec is an Army ROTC cadet involved in Cadet Language and Cultural Immersion Training – their first training deployment as a cadet.

After a week-long training session at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the selected cadets are deployed to partner nations where they are immersed in the local cultures and languages.

The selected cadets will spend three weeks involved in assisting with current Army missions that range from helping build community projects to teaching English to local children. They are not only getting a total immersion in another culture, but are also building positive relationships and helping the people of partner nations.

Golec is a student at Northern Illinois University. She is the daughter of Maria D. Golec of Franklin Park.
