Police: DeKalb woman choked 6-year-old

SYCAMORE – A 24-year-old DeKalb woman posted $10,000 bail Wednesday after being accused of grabbing a 6-year-old’s neck and squeezing it, leaving marks, authorities said.

Caelyn A. Kidd, of the 200 block of Delay Drive, was charged with aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery in connection with an incident that happened April 29 at a relative’s house in Sycamore, according to court records.

If convicted of the most serious charge she faces, Kidd could be sentenced to probation or up to seven years in prison. She is next due in court May 16.
