URBANA, Ill. — A fiery crash last month in Champaign County has left a third person dead.

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says 65-year-old Otis R. Doxtator of Indianapolis died Tuesday at an Urbana hospital. He had been hospitalized since the two-vehicle crash April 20 on Illinois 49 north of Homer.

The crash also killed his wife, 62-year-old Dorothy Doxtator, and their son 33-year-old Scott Doxtator. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner tells The News-Gazette that Otis Doxtator died of injuries he received in the crash.

The driver of the second vehicle was ticketed in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police.
