DeKalb's Brown nominated for U.S. Army All-American Bowl

DeKalb High School running back Dre Brown has been nominated for the 2015 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Rosters will be finalized in the fall.

The game will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Tex. on Jan. 15, 2015, and includes 90 of the best high school football players in the country.

Brown committed to the University of Illinois back in March. He also has offers from Northern Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Toledo and Western Michigan. Brown was a Daily-Chronicle first-team all-area selection in 2013, scoring 20 touchdowns.

Alumni from the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which has gone on for 14 years, include Adrian Peterson, Andrew Luck, LeSean McCoy, Teddy Bridgewater, Jamaal Charles, Percy Harvin and Patrick Peterson. Over 200 NFL players have played in the game.
