Meet Tex.

Tex is a 9-year-old black domestic shorthair-mix available for adoption at TAILS Humane Society in DeKalb.

Tex came to TAILS because one of the children in his previous home where he lived the majority of his life was allergic to cats. He gets along with everyone, including other cats and dogs, and is looking for his forever home.

He is neutered, and available for adoption at TAILS today.

Then there's Dazzle.

Dazzle is a 4-year-old blue and tan chihuahua long coat-mix also available for adoption at TAILS.

She has special behavioral needs due to fear from a lack of socialization early in her life after being rescued from a puppy mill.

The adopter must have af friendly social dog to serve as Dazzle's role model.

Progress has been slow with Dazzle, but with patience and love she is learning to be a nice dog.

She is spayed, and currently lives in a foster home, where she can only be visited by appointment.
