Garden Story Time returns

Published: Monday, May 5, 2014 4:40 p.m. CDT

As we leave this cold winter behind, it is time to look forward to flowers, birds and being outside again. A fun way to learn more about this special time of year is through stories and song. The Sycamore History Museum invites children age 3 to 6 to join them in a Garden Story time that takes a closer look at fall.

Join the Sycamore History Museum for “Wonderful Worms,” at 10 a.m. Thursday. Two storytellers will share stories, sing songs and lead a craft. This is the first of a whole summer of fun activities. Other dates include: May 15, June 13, June 19, July 10, July 17, Sept. 11 and Sept. 18.

The classes will be led by Cheryl Larson and Marge Johnson, who have led the story times for the past two summers. Registration is suggested. These free classes will be held at the Sycamore History Museum, 1730 N. Main St. For more information or to register, call 815-895-5762 or visit
