Ag heritage association hosts open house

What is transgenic corn? How is it developed? Visit the DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association from 2 to 4 p.m. May 4 to discover the answers to these questions in the exhibit, “Transforming Corn – Transforming Agriculture.”

Thomas Sims, associate professor of biological sciences and director of the Plant Molecular Biology Center at Northern Illinois University, will give a presentation at 2:30 p.m. and will be available to answer questions throughout the event.

The event will be held at the DAAHA exhibit gallery, 111 S. Second St., Suite 204, DeKalb. Admission is free.
