DeKALB — The 59-year-old DeKalb man found dead Monday at Baymont Inn, 1314 W. Lincoln Highway in DeKalb, died of natural causes, DeKalb County Coroner Dennis Miller said.

Hotel staff found the man lying in his bed late Monday morning after the man was supposed to check out of the hotel and did not respond to staff phone calls, said DeKalb police detective Angel Reyes.

The man had a medical history that contributed to his death, Miller said.

Miller did not release the name of the man Monday afternoon because family members had not yet been notified.

DeKalb police and firefighters were called to the scene just after noon Monday. Police will not continue to investigate the death because they believe there is nothing suspicious, Reyes said.
