Benefit planned for Cortland family

CORTLAND – A benefit dinner will be held Wednesday to support the Powell family of Cortland after the unexpected death of their four-week-old daughter, Elianna.

The spaghetti benefit dinner will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cortland Lions Shelter, 70 S. Llanos St., Cortland. The menu includes spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and a dessert.

Donations will support the family with unexpected costs incurred when Eliana died April 9.
