Local Egg Hunts

The following is a list of local egg hunts.


Twilight Egg Hunt: Dusk Thursday at Katz Park on Dresser Road. Students in fifth through eighth grade can participate. Parents are required to be on site at all times. Attendees should come dressed for the weather and bring a flashlight and their own bag to gather eggs. The event is free.

Easter Egg Hunt: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Seventh and Franklin streets. All children 12 and younger and their families are invited to participate. There will be songs, games and stories before the hunt. Children must be accompanied by an adult and must bring their own bag or basket. Refreshments will be served after the hunt. Easter Egg Hunt: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins Park Shelter, 1403 Sycamore Road. Toddlers through children in fourth grade can participate. Attendees should come dressed for the weather and bring their own basket to gather eggs, which can be turned in for treats. The event is free. In case of bad weather the event will be moved to Haish Gym. Call the gym at 815-756-8560 the day of the event to confirm change of venue.


Annual Spring Egg Hunt: 9:30 a.m. sharp Saturday at James Knights Park, 1001 N. Latham St. Children should bring their own basket. Bring a camera for Mr. Bunny’s visit. Age group will be: 3 years and younger, 4 and 5, and 6 through 9. This is a free event; no pre-registration required.


Flashlight Egg Hunt: 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sycamore Golf Course Clubhouse, 940 E. State St. This event is for all ages. Participants must preregister today. The evening will include Bunny Bingo, treats and the hunt. Cost is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.

Breakfast with the Bunny and Sycamore Police Egg Hunt: 7:30 to 9:15 a.m. Saturday breakfast at St. Mary Memorial Hall, 322 Waterman St.; 10 a.m. egg hunt at Good Tymes Shelter, Sycamore Park. Advance tickets for breakfast cost $4 for Sycamore Park District residents, $6 for nonresidents. Tickets at the door cost $5 and $7, respectively.
