DeKALB – Participating downtown DeKalb businesses are giving away free movie tickets – but it's up to customers to find them.

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is hosting Hop Into Spring until Friday. Eighteen local downtown businesses are participating in an Easter egg hunt, which will include free movie tickets to see the film "Hop" as well as store discounts and candy. A full list of participating businesses can be found at http://www.dekalb.org/wcevents/eventdetail.aspx?EventID=2463.

"We added the downtown Easter egg hunt to give away free tickets to include everyone in downtown and get people out and about," said Jessica Struthers, DeKalb Chamber of Commerce events manager.

Hillside Restaurant, at 121 N. Second St., DeKalb, will feature a grown-up Easter egg hunt Friday. Customers can grab an egg from a restaurant basket and receive specials such as a free dinner for two.

"Hop" will be shown at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., DeKalb. The Easter Bunny will appear around 10 a.m. to take pictures with families. Movie tickets also can be purchased at the theater. They cost for $5 for children and $7 for adults.

The Easter Bunny also will appear for breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faranda's, 302 Grove St., DeKalb. Cost to see the bunny is $7.99 per child and $12.99 per adult. Call for reservations by Thursday, April 10, at 815-981-3304.
