SEF fundraiser is Saturday night

Published: Wednesday, April 9, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

The annual Sandwich Education Foundation fundraiser will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. at the FVOAS Center on Suydam Road in Sandwich.

The evening will include a light supper, DJ, and the ever-popular silent and live auctions with local auctioneer, Chris Wegener. Support has been given by area businesses such as Fringe Hair Salon, Duy’s and Jimmy John’s. Many gift and service certificates will be offered, and SEF appreciates the support of local businesses.

Tickets, which cost $25, can be purchased from trustees Dorothy Wilgus, Dave Scharenberg, Dan Staffin, Mike Butler, Angie Turney, Jeanette Wright, Sheila Thompson or the State Farm Insurance office of Bob Wright in Sandwich.

This fundraiser helps fund grants for teachers and two yearly scholarships for Sandwich High School students needing some financial assistance for college. SEF is seeking new volunteers on the board of trustees to help with their fundraising efforts. For more information, contact SEF President Dorothy Wilgus at dorothyw61@netzero.net or 630-303-4978.
