NIU women’s golf finishes third at Bradley invite

PEKIN– The Northern Illinois women’s golf team finished in third place after scoring a final round 308 at the Bradley Invitational at the Pekin Country Club on Sunday.

The Huskies finished the tournament with a 622, just five shots out of first place.

Southern Illinois-Carbondale won the event with a two-day total of 617 (309-308). Kayla Katterhenry of Evansville won the individual title with a 146 (73-73).

Freshman Lena Gautier led the way for the Huskies, finishing in ninth after shooting a final round 75, five strokes less than her first round score, to card a 155.

Freshman Sydney Brickey and sophomore Samantha Coyne finished in 13th after posting a 156.
