The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Sycamore Lodge 105 will support the Benefit for Riley’s Rescue medical fundraiser with a meat raffle just in time for Easter. Meat is provided by Reams and the event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at PJ’s Courthouse Tavern in Sycamore.

Four-year-old Riley Buckholz has been diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called pinealoblastoma. Doctors also found tumors down Riley’s spinal cord, which also are malignant.

Riley has had two surgeries and is currently at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago preparing for a long road of extensive radiation and chemotherapy. It is expected that he will be released from the hospital shortly but trips to the hospital will be frequent for treatment over the next eight to 10 weeks.

Riley’s parents, Paul and Adena Buckholz, have put everything aside and medical expenses are mounting up.
