Salad bar luncheon is Monday

Catholic Daughters of America members Kathy Dixit, Wilma Sanchez, Terry Berg and LaVerne Faivre gathered together to begin planning the annual Salad Bar Luncheon. This year's event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the Ministry Center of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb.

The Catholic Daughters of America Immaculate Conception Court 996 of St. Mary Catholic Church, DeKalb, will host host their traditional Salad Bar Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the Ministry Center of the church.

The menu includes CDA meatballs, ham, baked beans and dinner rolls, and an assortment of homemade salads and desserts. Carry-outs are available.

Tickets cost $10 and are available at the door of the Ministry Center.

All proceeds go to support national charities as well local charities such as Safe Passage, Hope Haven, DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center, Food Pantry, Newman Catholic Student Center, DeKalb Public Library, We Care Pregnancy Center, St. Mary schools in Sycamore and DeKalb, plus many other charities.

The church is located at the corner of North Fourth and Pine streets in DeKalb. Handicapped access is available at the Fisk Street entrance.
