SYCAMORE – Sycamore Golf Club will open for play at 8 a.m. Saturday for walking only. No carts will be available until the turf is strong enough.

Although the winter was harsh, golf club staff said the course shows very little turf damage, and they sat it will bounce back quickly as temperatures rise.

Hours of operation for the season will be 8 a.m. to dusk each day. The course will open earlier in the day as the season progresses.

Special preseason rates will be available. Weekend rates will be $23 for 18 holes and $13 for nine. Weekday rates will be $20 and $10, respectively. Rental push carts will be available for $3.
