“Having A Heart For Babies” – Moses’ Basket, a ministry of DeKalb Wesleyan Church will host a fundraiser and diaper drive at Culver’s, 1200 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Moses’ Basket will receive 10 percent of all sales during those hours along with a matching grant from Thrivent Financial to help support this Community Missions Driven Program.

For every package of diapers attendees donate, they will receive a token good for one scoop of custard.

Last June Huggies donated a quarter million diapers to Moses’ Basket and the group has distributed every last one of them. Free diapers were handed out every Tuesday night helping an average of 200 parents per week for five months in the DeKalb County area. In order to continue this program, more diapers are needed.

Moses’ Basket is an outreach to dads and moms who cannot afford the basic needs for their newborn to age 2. The ministry is a partnership of community churches and organizations. To donate items, call 815-758-0671 or email mosesbasketdwc@gmail.com.
