A DeKalb man was charged with driving under the influence after a one-vehicle rollover crash Sunday, authorities said.

About 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Joseph H. Fannon, of the 800 block of Ellwood Drive, DeKalb, rolled his 1997 Dodge Caravan near Five Points Road south of Baseline Road, according to a DeKalb County Sheriff’s news release.

Police said Fannon was driving south on Five Points Road when he left the road on the west side, traveling through the ditch before striking a sign and a driveway embankment. Fannon’s vehicle rolled over and came to rest on the driver’s side facing west, police said.

Fannon was taken Kishwaukee Community Hospital; he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
