Heartland Blood Centers holds drives this week

Heartland Blood Centers, an independent nonprofit blood center serving 49 hospitals in a 12-county region in Illinois and Indiana, will hold several blood drives this week.

Kishwaukee Kiwanis is sponsoring a blood drive from 3 to 6:30 p.m. today at First Congregational UCC, 615 N. First St. To schedule a donation, call 815-758-0691 or sign up at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will receive 200 extra points to redeem for online gift cards and other premium gift items in Heartland's Warm Hearts Club.

Goodwill is sponsoring a blood drive from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at 1037 S. Annie Glidden Road. To schedule a donation, call 815-756-4200 or sign up at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will receive 200 extra points to redeem for online gift cards or other premium gift items in Heartland's Warm Hearts Club.

Sycamore High School will hold a blood drive from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school's cafeteria. Sign up online at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will receive a free T-shirt and 200 extra points to redeem for online gift cards or other premium gift items in Heartland's Warm Hearts Club as a thank-you.

Newman Catholic Student Center will hold a blood drive from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the community room at 512 Normal Road, DeKalb.  To schedule your donation, call the church office at 815-787-7770 or sign up at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will receive a free sports backpack and 200 extra points to redeem for online gift cards or other premium gift items in Heartland's Warm Hearts Club as a thank-you.

CVS Pharmacy will hold a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 1022 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, in the Heartland Mobile Coach. To schedule your donation, call the pharmacy at 815-748-0648 or sign up at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will receive a free $10 CVS gift card, a CVS gift bag and 200 extra points to redeem for online gift cards or other premium gift items in Heartland's Warm Hearts Club as a thank-you.
