DeKALB – Support DeKalb music programs by test driving a new Ford from 12:30 to 7 p.m. April 16 at DeKalb High School.

The Ford Drive 4UR School test drive program will earn $20 for every test drive, with the potential to earn up to $6,000. DeKalb Music Boosters are working with DeKalb’s Brad Manning Ford for this event, which is tied in with the first day of parent/teacher conferences at DHS.

Any licensed driver, 18 or older, one per household, can participate.

DeKalb Music Boosters supports middle school and high school music programs. In previous years, the group has helped fund student travel to competitions and events such as the New Year’s Day Sugar Bowl band trip to New Orleans, and the IHSA A Cappella Championships and the Essentially Ellington Jazz competition, both in New York City.

The group also provides money for new instruments, uniforms, other supplies and student scholarships.
