The Northern Illinois women's basketball team's season ended Wednesday afternoon with a 61-47 loss to Ball State in the second round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament in Cleveland.

Ball State (16-15) opened the game on an 11-0 run.

Natecia Augusta led the Huskies (11-19) with 13 points and five rebounds. She averaged 18.5 points during the tournament. Danny Pulliam and Ally Lehman each added 10 points for NIU, while Alexis Lindstrom finished with eight.

“If we had shot the ball a little bit better, been a little more confident, had a little more energy in our legs, I think it could’ve been a tighter game,” NIU head coach Kathi Bennett said in a news release. “All the credit to Ball State. They did a great job to get the win and advance in the tournament.”
