Published: Saturday, March 8, 2014 5:30 a.m. CST

The Curves Food Drive is going on now through March 23 at participating Curves clubs, including Curves in Sycamore.

Both members and nonmembers are invited to take part by bringing in a bag of nonperishable food or a monetary donation of $30 or more. All new members who donate will can join Curves with no service fee (restrictions apply).

“Once again, we are honored to offer the Curves Food Drive as a unique way for the community to come together and feed the needs of local food banks while simultaneously feeding the need for women’s health and fitness,” Diane Kennett, owner of Curves of Sycamore, said in a news release. “This year, donations will benefit the food pantries at Sycamore United Methodist Church and Salem Lutheran Church.”

Now in its 16th year, the Curves Food Drive has gathered and donated more than 75 million pounds of food to local community food banks. For more information, visit www.Curves.com or Curves of Sycamore, 1626 DeKalb Ave., or call 815-899-5700.
