Friday is the deadline for reservations for the Northern Illinois University Annuitants Association trip to see the exhibit “Megalodon: Largest Shark That Ever Lived” at Rockford’s Burpee Museum on March 14.

The exhibit features a 60-foot walk-through Megalodon sculpture, fossil specimens, full-scale shark models, interactives, artifacts, and even items from the museum’s own collections. There also be time to see “Jane: Diary of a Dinosaur,” an exhibit featuring the world’s most complete and best preserved juvenile T. Rex.

The trip includes a soup and salad buffet luncheon at The Stockholm Inn, a famous Rockford landmark.

The group will depart NIU at 11 a.m. and Oak Crest at 11:15 a.m. and return to DeKalb about 4:30 p.m. The cost is $98 per person.
