FVOAS Be My Country Valentine a huge success
To the Editor:
Fox Valley Older Adult Services would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many people who made the recent Be My Country Valentine dance such a huge success.
Heartland Bank, Castle Bank, Centrue Bank and NB&T showed that they truly have a heart for seniors with their generous donations of valentine packages that were auctioned off by Craig Elliott who also donated his time. Many donors contributed dishes for the complimentary appetizer buffet enjoyed by guests all evening. There were too many to thank personally, but their donations were hugely appreciated.
The band Headin’ West put on a great show and kept the dance floor filled all night. Thanks are also extended to the many individuals who contributed to the Valentines tree by purchasing ornaments with the names of loved ones past or present that they wished to honor.
FVOAS relies on the generosity of the many donors and volunteers that help them in their mission to provide programs and services to help seniors continue to live independently in their own homes and remain a part of the community. If you would like to find out how you can become a volunteer or if you have questions about programs and services that could help someone you know, stop by FVOAS at 1406 Suydam Road in Sandwich, visit www.fvoas.org or call 815-786-9404.
