Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias brings tour to Convo

The Northern Illinois University Convocation Center, the Campus Activities Board and the Student Association are bringing Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and his “Unity Through Laughter” to campus at 7:30 p.m. April 10.

Convocation Center doors open at 6:30 p.m. Martin Moreno will host the show with special guests Alfred Robles and Rick Gutierrez.

Tickets for the “Unity Through Laughter” tour with Gabriel Iglesias go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets cost $32 for NIU students with a valid NIU OneCard and $42 for the general public. All seats are reserved. Tickets can be purchased at the NIU Convocation Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.

NIU students can take advantage of a special pre-sale starting at 10 a.m. today. NIU students with a valid NIU OneCard can purchase tickets at the box office before they go on sale to the public for a discounted $24 (limit two). A limited number of discounted pre-sale tickets will be available.

Iglesias has been described as a witty, electrifying and talented performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience. With a unique and animated comedy style that has made him popular among fans of all ages, his high-octane show is a sure-fire hit: a mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal experiences to life.

His television appearances include “Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution,” which premiered on Comedy Central in October 2011 and was one of the highest rated stand-up series on the network.
