Prep roundup: Kaneland 1st, Sycamore 2nd in quad

Kaneland senior Nathaniel Kucera, a Stanford commit, was the only individual double winner Wednesday in the Sycamore quadrangular, as the Kaneland boys track team defeated three other teams including Sycamore.

Kucera won the 400- and 3,200-meter runs as Kaneland finished with 92.5 points. Sycamore had 75.83, Grayslake North had 35.67 and Yorkville finished with 21.

Sycamore’s Dion Hooker won the 55 dash, and Austin Sebby won the 200. Sycamore also picked up a win in the long jump (Bryce Cedillo).

Kaneland won the 800 (Kyle Carter), the 55 hurdles (Dylan Nauert), the pole vault (Dylan Kuipers), shot put (Nate Dyer) and the 4x160 and 4x400 relays.
