GENOA – The Genoa-Kingston Education Foundation will conduct its fourth annual mouse race at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Genoa Veterans Home, 311 S. Washington St.

The main event is racing with real mice in a Plexiglas-enclosed racetrack. There are six races with nine mice in each race. A seventh race of the winners of each heat determines the grand champion of the evening.

Prizes are awarded to the sponsors of the winning mouse in each heat and to the grand champion. There are still a mice available for sponsorship.

In addition to sponsorship, attendees can bet on the mice. Between races, guests can play mouse roulette in which a real mouse chooses the winning number. A silent auction is included in the event.

To sponsor a mouse or to learn more about this event and the foundation, visit www.gkedfoundation.org or the organization's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/gkedfoundation.

All proceeds benefit the mini-grant fund. Grants will be awarded to District 424 teachers in April.
