DeKALB – A 25-year-old DeKalb man is accused of throwing a frying pan at his girlfriend’s head and injuring her Wednesday, according to court records.

Keelan D. Sandine, of the 1300 block of West Lincoln Highway, was charged with aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, domestic battery and violating an order of protection.

DeKalb police said Sandine threw a frying pan at his girlfriend after an argument about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home, court records show.

The girlfriend requested, and received, an order of protection against Sandine on May 20. The protection, which prohibits physical abuse, was active at the time of the incident, court records show.

The victim was transported to Kishwaukee Hospital and received two staples to close a cut on her head, court records show.

Presiding Judge Robbin Stuckert ordered a risk assessment Thursday to set Sandine’s bond. He is next due in court Friday.
