IVVC names February students of the month

Indian Valley Vocational Center of Sandwich recently announced its February Students of the Month. 

This recognition program spotlights students from its 13 onsite programs, and cosmetology and fire science, selected by the program instructors for qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic.

The February Students of the Month are:

Auto Body Repair – Kevin Ledger Jr., Yorkville High School; Automotive Technology – Austin Meyers, Yorkville High School; Computer Technology – David McDonough, Yorkville High School; Construction Technology – Johnny DeLaTorre, Plano High School; Culinary Arts – Jake Henry, Hinckley-Big Rock High School; Drafting & Design – Jake Goldsboro, Somonauk High School; Early Childhood Development – Claudia Resendiz, Sandwich High School; Fire Science – Jackson Kerry, Plano High School; Graphic Communications – Heather Becker, Paw Paw High School; Health Occupations, Exploring Medical Careers – Melina Ramirez, Sandwich High School; Law Enforcement – Nicholas Duffy, Sandwich High School; Sports Medicine/Management – Nicholas Baldwin, Indian Creek High School; and Welding & Fabrication – James Gavin, Somonauk High School.

IVVC is owned and operated by 11 school districts: Earlville District 9, Hinckley-Big Rock District 429, Indian Creek District 425, Leland District 1, Newark District 18, Paw Paw District 271, Plano District 88, Sandwich District 430, Serena District 2, Somonauk District 432 and Yorkville District 115.
